I've had like 502 things that I've wanted to blog about today..... so here goes. look for sub-topics below.
Three Years Down, Forever to Go
Alright alright. I know that no one wants to read mushy shit. I get it, I get it. I'm not really a mushy person either, well, not out in the public world of the world wide internet. But, we must at least take a bit of time to acknowledge the third anniversary of my lovely wedding anniversary. And since we're on the topic I just want to say that I pretty much have the greatest husband in the entire world and you should all be jealous that you won't have a husband as great as mine because I've already got him. So ha.
Two Days Down, The Rest of Our Lives To Go
My co-worker and I have started working out together after work. I'm following along with Jackie Warner's "This is Why You're Fat" book that has you only doing interval cardio for the first two weeks. Yesterday we worked out and I almost died after two intervals. Seriously. Today I got through all four (modified) intervals. I felt pretty damn proud of myself. Also, we've vowed to stop taking the elevator (where plausible... for example, when I do bank deposits at work I have to go to the 25th floor.... I am not walking that.... yet) and taking the stairs everywhere we go. I recommend everyone do this. A very easy way to throw some exercise into your day.
Sixty Minutes for the Next Sixty Years of Your Life
Since it's my anniversary, it also means that it's time for the Gold Medal game of the World Juniors. Canadian's love this tournament. A lot. Therefore, I would highly recommend, that if you're getting married, make sure something as important as the gold medal game of the World Juniors does not take place every year on that date. Or you're anniversary will never involve dinner out and a romantic night, but take out and the gold medal game. Not that I'm complaining, I kind of prefer it that way.
I would, however, like to point out to Canadians the following things about the World Juniors:
1) There is "junior" hockey more than just once a year. Most of these young boys play in either the OHL, WHL or QJMHL - the three leagues comprising the CHL. If you live in a town of over, let's say, 50,000 people, you likely have a team. I highly recommend checking it out. It's fun.
2) No one else in the entire world gives a flying shit about the World Juniors. Seriously. I love Canadian pride and all, but when you're the only country that cares, it's kind of funny.
Since We Were On The Topic of James Van Der Beek...
How were we on the topic of JVDB? Good question. The previous "sub-title" is a parady of a quote from one of THE greatest movies... "Varsity Blues". Not seen it? Go watch it! Not seen it in years? Go watch it. I may have to write an entire blog about Varsity Blues AND the fabulous quotes in it.
Anyways, back to JVDB. Yesterday a lovely friend of mine posted a link on Facebook to what is quite possibly THE GREATEST website of all time (perhaps behind websites such as http://www.verydemotivational.com/). You MUST MUST MUST check out this website: http://www.jamesvandermemes.com/
I think this may become my favourite thing EVER.
